World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item level upgrade's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of the weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much they'll increase after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it's possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also offer a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade items the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes within a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as you can.

You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the best way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components which can be upgraded to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values that can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs and there are some rare Glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Utilizing the Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own bonus. This could be a disadvantage in that the item upgrader kit could increase in price even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a totally different set of bonus bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can use up many resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives buffs when the player continuously enters or exits the water. This item can be upgraded many times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP as the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons, and trinkets) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original condition, which requires the player to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item upgrade does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained, such as chances to be crit damage to attack, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For instance an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than normal equipment. For example they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade will require an individual amount of ingredients needed to upgrade.
